When we first started out 30 years ago, we shipped in our interior shutters from overseas factories just like other companies. However, time after time we encountered quality that was just not up to par with the excellence we wanted for our Round Rock and Austin-area customers. Overseas manufacturing means less control over quality; today we see all kinds of low-grade materials used by these companies to make indoor shutters, including PVC, composites, laminated wood and other materials that simply don’t last. 

We quickly decided to build our own manufacturing facility, using only premium-grade materials. All of our shutters are made of real American basswood, which is the industry gold standard for luxury-grade shutters. We also use premium quality paint and stain, trim, and hinges and hardware. We offer custom options for each shutter and we bring samples right into the comfort of your home, so you can envision the final product exactly where it will be installed - in your windows. 

Today the market is flooded with cheap imitations of what real interior shutters are supposed to be - we see every kind of shortcut imagineable. You would think these cheaper materials mean cheaper cost, but in reality, the cost isn’t much different - even though the quality and longevity is so much less. Once they receive all the specifications from the consultation in your home, our factory team begins designing, engineering and custom crafting each individual shutter for your home. We have an extensive process to ensure perfect quality at each step of the process.
